Happy Persian new year to everyone who celebrates it! 
This is Nowruz here now which is the new year in Persian calendar and the first day of spring. I posted a status earlier but thought maybe write this journal and explain a little more about it.
In case you didn't know, We use a different calendar here in Iran that is called Persian calendar or Iranian calendar. It's actually the most accurate calendar and it starts on the first day of spring. Also we celebrate the Spring equinox exact moment as the year changing moment instead of the midnight of the last day of the year. The most known tradition for Nowruz is HaftSeen (as you see in the picture) which is a table with seven thing that their name starts with "s" (In Persian) and each of them is a symbol of a good thing for the new year but unfurtunately my English is not good enough to explain that and i don't know their English name so you can read more about them on wiki if you are interested. 
We gather around HaftSeen at the new year moment and celebrate and usually elders give youngers gifts (Called "Eydi" in Persian) that is usually Fresh newly printed money bills. Also we go to meet relatives in the new year holidays and kids will get Eydi from them. Traditional dinner for the new year eve is usually fish and "sabzi polo" which is rice that is cooked with some herbs.

Today is a really special day for me because finally i presented my master thesis and officially graduated!!!

It wasn't really easy for me to do, specially when you study in a field that you really have no interest and motivation for. That's why my master took 3 years for me instead of 2 and i was abandoning my thesis for like "a year and a half" of it, but finally got it together and been working hard on it for the last month (That's why i haven't been really active on here recently) and almost didn't sleep! Took like 3-4 hours of sleep every night and even no sleep at some nights to finally finish it in time. But now it's over!!! Feels like a big weight has been lifted off my shoulders

Just wanted to share my happiness and the freedom feeling i have right now with you and hope to get more active again on here!

The amazing irbi-art did a great surprise for me and drew me after my haircut!!!


I'm going to use it as my avatar from now on since first of all it looks so good and also i wanted a new avatar since a very long time and actually been looking for someone to ask them make one for me but now i have it from her

Update #1: It's Saturday night and i been looking for him since morning but couldn't find him. I did put some food and water in morning but when i came back few hours after the food was gone so i don't know if he ate it or some other cat but i put more food. I saw him Thursday first time (didn't notice his leg) so it's 3 days so far. Hope he makes it

Feeling so sad yesterday i saw a super tiny kitten in the street but before i can reach him to pet him or give him food he ran away in to an abandoned building beside my apartment. It was strange because a little kitten in that age (he looked like one month old) never comes out alone without his mother. Today i went and looked through that hole in the wall that he went in to check out if he has a mother or abandoned. Saw him laying and shaking so i did put some cat food for him and tried to lure him out with it so i can see if he has any problem, When he came out i saw one of his legs was dislocated so bad. It looked like it wasn't attached at all

I went to grab a basket from my garage and a pair of gloves to catch him and take him to vet but when i came back he was already going inside again through that hole and could hear an adult cat bullying him from inside. I scared that cat away but the kitten was already in so couldn't catch him. I stayed for like 4 hours there and waiting for him to come out but he didn't. I tried to lure him out again with food but seems he was not hungry anymore, he ate a few pieces i put on the hole edge but didn't came out and i saw he fell asleep in there. I try to catch him again tomorrow because now its too dark and vet clinic is closed already. Hope he makes it.

When i browse DA it happens a lot that i see some really talented artists with nice works but when i check their page and their gallery, they don't have much page views and really low fav and comment on their deviations. I guess it's not fair that such good talents remain undiscovered, so by making this journal i'm trying to kind of help them get noticed more. this is the list i made out of the ones i'm following myself but if you know anyone here who is talented but doesn't get the attention they deserve feel free to comment their name. :] <3
